This was supposed to be a short, easy hike. Instead, it turned into an all-day adventure! We definitely learned the hard way that you should check if a trail is a loop or a one-way trip before you head out.
Despite getting lost, the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail near Hot Springs, AR, was absolutely stunning. If you are in the area, we highly recommend it—just be sure to turn around when you get to the top of the dam!
We also found a hidden treasure along the way, which has now inspired us to start hiding our own treasures as we travel. Huge thanks to whoever placed that first one!
